When you’ve got three brothers, it’s a challenge to find the perfect Christmas or birthday present that’s not the same old shirt from L.L. Bean, or cheesy golf paraphernalia, or Starbucks gift card. This year, I’m going all out in the nostalgia department— I’m going all the way back to our childhood. Everyone knows that little boys love models, whether it’s model cars, or trucks, or airplanes, or ships.
There are many things that can gain value as the years go on, but few think about things like collectible magazines. These are not always something that go up in value, but like some newspapers, those with big events included can be worth a lot as the years go along. When I was a little girl, I wanted a pair of roller skates for the longest time. I never got them, because there was just no where for me to use them. However, my mom would often take me down to the local roller skating rink each weekend so that I could have fun skating if I wanted to. This was back in
When looking for pocket watches, you may find them in more places than you might think, but most often in department store jewelry departments. You can also find them in some kiosks in the mall where you do most of your shopping, but always be wary of kiosks, especially around the holidays. Some are there only for a short time, and if the gift you give needs servicing or replacement, the recipient could be out of luck.
