With society cracking down on when and where smokers can engage in their rituals, seeing no smoking signs in new places is not a bit surprising. A lot of states have banned public smoking, putting an end to the complaints of secondhand smoke bothering patrons who don’t care to be surrounded by it. Years ago, smokers could engage in their activities almost anyplace they felt the need. If you didn’t want to be around the cigarette smoke, you knew to not frequent restaurants with bars, clubs or concerts. However, recent studies and research has begun the push to change all of that. The effects of secondhand smoke have been recognized and local governments have begun to stick up for the citizens who don’t want to be around the smoke.

If you’re a smoker, you may have noticed that some restaurants you tend to frequent have posted no smoking signs. You may have noticed quite a few other places posting those familiar signs as well. No matter whether you’re in favor of the new smoking laws or against them, the fact is, they are being implemented for a reason. Those no smoking signs are not hanging up simply so that they may be ignored.

If you’re looking to purchase no smoking signs, you can find them in tons of places. Local hardware stores are likely to carry them. You may be able to find them in some grocery stores or convenience stores as well. If you are able to find them in a store and purchase them in person, you may be saving yourself shipping fees. If you find that local stores simply don’t have no smoking signs available for purchase, they can be found all over the internet. Ebay has tons of them available, as do lots of other internet stores. Of course, you may find shipping fees to be quite a nuisance.

There is another easy way to obtain no smoking signs. You can simply print your own. Sure, they may not look as professional or official as authentic signs that you have to spend your hard earned money on, but they will get the message across just the same. You can create your own in a computer program or find some online that will allow you to print them out without spending a single penny. Of course, printing out your own no smoking signs doesn’t have to be permanent. It could be a temporary solution if you simply want to put an end to the smoking issues in your establishment immediately. You can always get authentic signs in the future. As long as your patrons respect the signs that you choose to post, the message has been passed along loud and clear.
